Each month at Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego, we like to spotlight one young member from each of our two facilities in City Heights and Oceanside due to their exceptional performance and dedication to our programs. We’re proud to present our “Members of the Month” for January 2018 — congratulations!
City Heights: Lavelle
Lavelle demonstrates remarkable commitment and perseverance. Within the past year, he successfully advanced through Pro Kids golf levels one and two. Now a level three member, he strives to master new golf skills through focused practice and determination. In addition to being a great athlete, who also plays football, he’s an excellent and conscientious student. When he visits the Pro Kids academy, he frequently invests an hour or more into completing his academics, which includes practicing and improving his math skills. He’s also consistently cordial and respectful to the academy and coaching staff, and to his fellow peers. Pro Kids is proud to honor Lavelle as our January Member of the Month!
Oceanside: ALEX
Alex is one of our most recent additions to The Academy. He worked hard to make it to Level 2 and is working even harder to get to Level 3. Alex loves a good challenge! Anyone who spends time with Alex can see his passion for golf. He is always excited to go to the range or play the course with Coach Kevin.
Alex is a very responsible young man. He seeks out ways to help at Pro Kids. In the Elementary room he always completes his assigned jobs and then assists his team members with their assignments.
A remarkable quality about Alex is that he pushes himself academically. Last year he set a goal of raising his reading level. Using the life skills of commitment and perseverance, and with a lot of extra time with Ms Twannia, Alex was able to meet his goal. He is also consistently scoring 100% on his spelling tests!
