Each month at Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego, we like to spotlight one young member from each of our two facilities in City Heights and Oceanside due to their exceptional performance and dedication to our programs. We’re proud to present our “Members of the Month” for December 2017 — congratulations!
City Heights: JASON SUAREZ
Jason Suarez is a Level 4 golfer and has been a Pro Kids member since 2009! Jason is an honest young man, who regularly goes out of his way to help others in need. Recently, he flew out to Mexico to help earthquake victims by donating his own clothing and time. He has been consistent with participation in our College Apps Program, is a college bound student, and takes initiative to help staff members as well as other golfers without questions or hesitation. Pro Kids is proud to honor Jason as our December Member of the Month!
Oceanside:Jonathan Tran 
Jonathan Tran or, as we affectionately call him at Pro Kids – “J-Tran” – is the December 2017 Member of the Month!
Known to be an eccentric young man with a major interest in superhero stories (especially the Flash), time with Jonathan is never boring. He is smart, funny and always has an opinion he’s willing to share, even if it’s unpopular, proving his bravery and self-confidence every day he as Pro Kids.
This past month Jonathan’s attitude has greatly improved. We think that has something to do with turning 14 and embracing his role as the oldest member in the middle school Academy program. Earning a leadership position as his House Prefect for a week, Jonathan did well supporting his fellow Gryffindors and encouraging them to do their very best. He has also been killing it on the golf course, practicing regularly and working hard to achieve the requirements to get to Level 5; his coaches are pretty certain he’ll be a Level 5 before the end of the year!
On top of the hard work and commitment he shows at Pro Kids, Jonathan has excellent grades, always taking the necessary time to complete his homework or study for upcoming tests. He is also involved in other extra-curricular activities beyond golf such as being a member of the local recreational swim team in which he competes in every stroke (his favorite is ), playing the violin and running for the sheer joy of it! Jonathan is one super busy young man and we at Pro Kids are honored he makes the time to attend the program nearly every day.
