Become a Pro Kids Member
The best way for kids to get involved at Pro Kids is to become a member. Pro Kids membership allows kids (ages 7-18) the opportunity to participate in free golf and life-skills instruction at Colina Park Golf Course.

Pro Kids membership is free to children who live in our neighborhood (zip codes 92105 or 92115). It is also free for children who qualify for the free or reduced lunch program at their school.

Membership is available to all others for a fee of $100 per member for the calendar year. A family plan of $75 per member, per calendar year, is available when 2 or more siblings register and pay at the same time. If a child registers after June 30, the fee will be $50 per member for the remainder of the calendar year and the family plan will be $37.50.

Click here for more information on this policy, effective January 1, 2010.

To become introductory members, kids need to follow these three easy steps:
  1. Attend an orientation with a parent/guardian at Pro Kids. Orientations take place on the first three Saturdays of the month from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. La orientación en Español se llevan a cabo el tercer sábado del mes a las 11:00 de la mañana.
  2. Fill out a registration form and pay registration fee (if applicable).
  3. Within seven business days of submitting registration materials, kids can return to Pro Kids for FREE golf lessons after school and on certain Saturdays (schedule varies by month; see current Pro Kids calendar for more information).
After a minimum of six golf and life-skills classes, kids have the ability to become par certified members by passing written and performance tests. Once a Pro Kids member becomes par certified, he/she will have access to:
  • Colina Park Golf Course – an eighteen-hole course, a nine-hole putting course, a practice putting green, a driving cage, and a state-of-the-art golf simulator.
  • Golf and life skills instruction – including tournaments and access to regulation courses in San Diego
  • Learning Center – computer lab, tutoring, community service, educational workshops, vocational field trips, college preparation support
  • College scholarship program
Once par certified, kids begin earning Point Reward Opportunity (PRO) points. Kids earn points by participating in certain Learning Center programs designed to expose kids to new cultures, vocations, skills, and community service. Kids spend their PRO points to pay for our golf programs, equipment, and apparel.
