Success Stories

Every day we know we are accomplishing our mission by engaging kids on their progress. The following stories about three Pro Kids members help illustrate the value of our work.

Diana graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in Sociology. During her time as an undergraduate, she discovered her passion for working with people and public health. She is currently working towards obtaining her Masters in Public Health and Science in Nutrition and Dietetic at Saint Louis University. Diana hopes to one day help low income communities overcome health disparities. She continually gives back to Pro Kids through volunteer and tutoring in The Learning Center.

A Pro Kids member since 1996, Chanthra knows the meaning of determination. A local of City Heights, Chanthra used Pro Kids as a way to escape the negligence of the inner city. Despite hardships and determined for a higher education, Chanthra attended and graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with a degree in International Development.

Tiffany knows the meaning of success. A Pro Kids alum, Tiffany won four junior tournaments, two U.S. Women’s Amateur Public Links Championship, and was named 2008 Pac-10 Golfer of the Year. She graduated in 2009 from UCLA with Bachelors in Communication. After graduation, Tiffany turned professional and joined the Futures Tour. With all her accomplishments, it is easy to see why Tiffany was our 2009 Ernie Wright Hall of Fame inductee.
