img The mission of Pro Kids is to positively impact the lives of inner-city youth by providing programs that promote education, character development, life-skills, and values through the game of golf.

  • Forensic biologists Scott Zoll and Mike Palermo introduced the world of crime scene investigation to our kids during a vocational workshop at Colina Park. Pro Kids, gowned in lab coats and safety goggles, learned how alternative light sources and chemical tests help investigators collect evidence and solve crimes. To see pictures from the workshop, visit the Photo Album section of our website, or click here.

  • Thanks to the Girls Mentoring Committee for treating our girls to a trip to CeramiCafe Art Lounge. The girls decorated kitchen trivets to honor their moms for Mother's Day. To see pictures from the trip, visit the Photo Album section of our website, or click here.

  • Roberto Rosas was named Conference Player of the Year for the Coastal League and Athlete of the Year for Francis Parker High School. Roberto shot 75-76 in the CIF Championship to lead Francis Parker to their first CIF Division II title.

  • Pro Kids introduced the game of golf to young men representing Hoover, Morse, and Madison High Schools through a partnership with the San Diego Unified School District's Ten to Succeed program.

  • Join us for our next Chairman's Luncheon, Wednesday, July 8 at 11:45 a.m. at Pro Kids. The Chairman's Luncheon is hosted by our Chairman of the Board, Howard Wright. Take a quick tour of the facility, meet a few kids, have lunch, and you'll be out the door in an hour. It's a casual opportunity to learn more about our program or introduce potential supporters to Pro Kids. After lunch, you are welcome to play golf with the kids. It only takes an hour to play nine holes. For those of you who are already familiar with Pro Kids the luncheon will give you a good overview of the program. For more information or to RSVP, please contact Chapin Cole at ccole@prokidsonline.org.

  • Pro Kids offers week-long Summer Golf Camps for kids between the ages of 7-17. Camps started this week and will be held through August. Click here for more information.

  • Mark your calendars for two great events - the Pro Kids Golf Tournament and the 15th Annual Awards and Recognition Ceremony. The Pro Kids Annual Golf Tournament, presented by EDCO Recycling & Waste Collection Services, The Legacy (Rolf Benirschke Golf Invitational), and The Bradley Foundation will be held on September 14, 2009 at the San Diego Country Club. Space is limited to 108 golfers, so hurry and register today! Click here for more information. Click here for more information about the Awards and Recognition Ceremony, happening on August 29, 2009.
