Position Summary: The Chief Operating Officer (COO) will continuously lead a comprehensive evaluation of business processes, staffing, and technology needs to ensure that Pro Kids can provide high quality, impactful services to its youth. The COO will work closely with the CEO to grow the organization, continually improve, and increase the agency’s leadership position in the nonprofit sector. The COO ensure that all programs and operations are performing to the highest level.

This role requires the COO to see the big picture, manage details, be responsive, and possess good project management, collaboration, networking and exceptional communication skills. This person serves as a connecting tissue throughout the organization, bringing together all positions to ensure they are meeting the goals and established trajectory of the agency.

Assistant Golf Professional- TourNament Coordinator

POSITION TITLE: Assistant Golf Professional- Tournament Coordinator          DEPARTMENT: Program

SUPERVISOR: Director of Golf                               STATUS: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Position Concept: Assist Pro Kids in accomplishing the mission of their strategic plan by ensuring that all aspects of the golf operations, programs, facilities, and services are being performed in a professional and responsible manner.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provides large and small group instruction for ages 7-17.
  • Schedules, collects registrations, and monitors progress of members and classes.
  • Performs professional mentorship to members of all ages.
  • Runs successful internal and external golf events, including End of the Month Tournaments.
  • Maintains accurate data entry and record keeping.
  • Demonstrates clear and professional communication methods including use of Microsoft outlook.
  • Transports members to regulation golf courses for outings.
  • Assists in the preparation of new programs, lesson plans, and special events.
  • Provides excellent customer service, professional advice, and assistance to all members and parents so they enjoy their experience.
  • Acts as a role model for our members.
  • Manages Girls Golf programming at the City Heights facility including participation in Girls Mentoring Committee and Events
  • Manages the fitness and nutrition aspects of programming
  • Completes the requirements for the PGA (or LPGA) membership and maintain an active classification.
  • Completes the requirements for The First Tee Recognized Coach Program.
  • Assists in all golf events internally and externally
  • Assists with Champions Club membership
  • Assists with golf social media and communication
  • Facilitates sponsorship opportunities for events
  • Attends events as PK representative
  • Works closely with PK Marketing Committee
  • Provides support to the Academy

Pro Shop Starter

SCHEDULE: Monday – Friday Forty Hours per week; some weekends

Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego provides a safe, healthy, and positive environment where kids can access golf, life skills, tutoring, mentoring, computers, community service projects, leadership programs, educational, vocational, and social field trips and workshops, college preparation programs, and college scholarships. Pro Kids is the San Diego chapter of The First Tee, an international nonprofit golf and life skills training organization.

Overview

Reporting Relationships
Golf shop assistant reports to the Pro Shop manager and are a part of program and operations. This is a part-time position.

Job Summary
Under the direction of the Chief Operations Officer, Director of Golf and the golf shop manager, the Golf Shop Assistant will provide service to the members in the area of tee time coordination, tournament operations, rules and policies, pace of play, accurate daily play totals and other duties needed by the Golf Professionals.

Primary Responsibilities
• Delivery of excellent customer service to members and the public.
• Create a positive and safe environment for personal and social growth.
• Responsible and accurate management of financial and facility resources.
• Input of information and transactions through Pro Kids database
• Support overall Pro Kids activities, events, and programs as needed.
