PRO KIDS - The Course of Opportunity!
The mission of Pro Kids is to positively impact the lives of inner-city youth by providing programs that promote education, character development, life-skills, and values through the game of golf.
The only place where members (ages 7-17) can play golf and access educational field trips and seminars for free!
To become an introductory member, just follow these three easy steps: - Attend an orientation with your child at Pro Kids. Orientations take place on the first three Saturdays of the month from 11am to 12pm.
- Fill out an application.
- Following the application and orientation, bring your child to Pro Kids for FREE golf lessons after school and on certain Saturdays (schedule varies by month; see current Pro Kids calendar for more information.)
After a minimum of six lessons and the passing of written and performance tests, your child can become a CERTIFIED member who will have access to:- Eighteen-hole golf course, nine-hole putting course, a practice putting green, a driving cage, and a state-of-the-art golf simulator
- Golf and Life Skills Instruction - including tournaments and access to regulation courses around the county
- Learning Center - tutoring, study center, internet access, logic games
- Vocational Experiences - field trips to businesses, universities, sporting and cultural events
- College Scholarships
- Mentoring - teen-to-preteen support support, public speaking training, anger management classes
