Each month at Pro Kids | The First Tee of San Diego, we like to spotlight one young member from each of our two facilities in City Heights and Oceanside due to their exceptional performance and dedication to our programs. We’re proud to present our “Members of the Month” for April 2018 — congratulations!
City Heights: TYLER
Our Pro Kids Member of the Month for April is Tyler! Tyler is an energetic and intuitive Level 4 golfer, who seeks to understand and learn from the golf staff and others. He is a great brother and is constantly looking out for his fellow Pro Kid on and off the course. Tyler has had an unwavering commitment to improving his game. He is the embodiment of perpetual growth and inspires us all to be our best selves no matter what.

Oceanside: Yobana
April means spring and spring means happiness! This month’s Member of the Month is Yobana. Yobana is one of the happiest middle school girls Pro Kids is lucky enough to call part of our family.
Although Yobana joined Pro Kids a couple years ago, we haven’t seen her much until this winter when we offered an outreach program at Chavez Middle School, where she is enrolled in 7
th grade and we are so happy that that program helped encourage her to rejoin our ranks! Already rocking it in the Academy, she is determined to make good use of her time at Pro Kids. Not only does she study hard while here, she practices her golf game, too, even going above and beyond and taking lessons from Mr. Said. And, as the newest member of the Girl’s Mentoring Committee, she participates each week with enthusiasm and respect for the rest of the girls in the group.
Respectful and generous, Yobana is the sort of person who makes it a point to ask about others (staff or peers) and always offers to share when she brings in a whole pizza on Friday afternoons! However, if there were only one word to live by I could choose which would describe Yobana best, it would be ‘kindness’. Always greeting people with a smile and a kind word, Yobana jumped into Pro Kids head first and has been a valued member ever since!
