City Heights: Ashlynn Paquette
Ashlynn enthusiastically participates in Pro Kids Academy events and activities. She is thoughtful, helpful, and compassionate. Ashlynn demonstrates a willingness and eagerness to learn and is frequently found either reading a book, drawing, or researching a topic of her interest. She can always be counted on to have a positive and enthusiastic attitude as she demonstrates the Pro Kids words to live by, especially respect, discipline, and humility. She’s kind and respectful to staff, and supportive to her peers. The staff, members, and volunteers at Pro Kids are proud to honor Ashlynn as our November Member of the Month!
Oceanside: Fabian COrdero
Fabian is the kind of young man who is humble and committed. He has risen to Level 4 quickly in the golf program, since joining Pro Kids in May of 2015 and is looking on track to become a Level 5 before the end of middle school! He is helpful – always making the time to do his daily job or clean up around site and offering to take Level 2’s on the course, especially his younger brother, Alex.
Fabian is hard working and can often be found practicing his golf game out on the course, doing homework or reading a good book. He is also one of November’s most dedicated young authors, writing steadily to reach his word count goal in the annual National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) challenge!
Not the most talkative of members, Fabian is always missed when he is not at Pro Kids because of the calm, patient vibe he brings to the middle school Academy group. He has a quiet sense of humor and his amusement is evident on his face when he observes others’ antics. Even in his amusement, he is the voice of reason in a regularly chaotic environment and, his voice carries more weight than he is even aware, among his peers earning him the weekly role as House Prefect more than once already, this school year. To summarize all of his commendable qualities and to simplify the reasons he was chosen as the November member of the month, the staff all agrees that Fabian is responsible, honest and, most of all, he is kind which, in today’s competitive climate is often an underrated characteristic.
